Better Board

Mary Ellen is the Executive Director of the Maryland Fuel Fund.  She had a strong board.  What she wanted was for the board to do was to stop thinking incrementally and start thinking about significant change the would challenge them.

the end result of the retreat was a team that was excited by the new vision.  They walked away with an action plan that would significantly extend the reach of the Maryland Fuel Fund.  There was also a high degree of urgency to get the job done.

This board got more done in the next three months than they had gotten done in the previous year.  When you get a team that’s on the same page, going in the same direction, and one with the team members are fully committed to one another to get the job done there is no challenge they cannot conquer.
